The Y14 comes off ticket in around summer I think, so presumably the Grange will cover for that, in case the N2 isn't back. I guess there's a possibllity that they'll have both or neither, which is a better set of probsbilites than just the N2 or neither

Some pictures from the 60th Anniversary of Closure weekend, mostly from sunny Sunday. As can be seen Great Eastern and Western steam was in action in the form of the Y14 and 4277, alongside Class 31 D5631 and the DMU.

Statement on the NNR’s Facebook page, Black Prince is to go on static display for 2 years at Bressingham, until funds and workshop space are available for a full overhaul back at the NNR.

Great to see this mutually beneficial arrangement between the two Norfolk organisations.

Agreed, this is a win-win- great to see this sort of co-operation, wonder if it might/could become a rolling arrangement with out of ticket locos from the NNR to be displayed at Bressingham?

Wonder if they will be able to display it alongside their Kreigslok.......

I don't recall there being a huge amount of empty space at Bressingham. Maybe if the J69 and E4 went the other way to free up some room...

A few negative comments on Facebook regarding this move that are rather baffling, and come across as somewhat ignorant.

it’s great to see this cooperation between these two long established organisations. Except for a visit by Martello to the NNR about twenty years ago there never seemed to be much interaction between the two sites. Perhaps understandable with the NNR being a standard gauge heritage railway and Bressingham being a steam centre with railways of different gauges. But I hope the two will continue to work together in the future.

Wissington would be perfect for Bressingham’s short standard gauge line.

I saw a post about a post on a post regarding one of the internet's great armchair experts. There are people out there who are as thick as two short planks. Sometimes its willing, others are born with it. Wouldn't pay no mind to such folks. Just not worth sweating over it. Its a beneficial move for both parties and if new, tighter relationships are formed from it then even better! I'm sure Martello returning would be quite rateable on something like the Quad Arts.

It makes a great deal of sense. NNR don't have an indoor space to display out of ticket locos yet and like most railways are tight in general for undercover storage

And at Bressingham the public can see it which they cant at the NNR

    Win Win.

I do wonder if there are other museums who might have space for, or even build space for an 'out of ticket' loco? The VofR being another great example

It's been over forty years since I went to Bressingham with my family. I've driven past it a couple of times subsequently: maybe the time has come to visit it again.

It's a bit tired in places but it's good fun. The gardens are really nice.

Must say it’s somewhere I keep intending to visit, never can seem to find the time though.
