I did not know the Dalesman's started at Carnforth I thought it was just the SSE's

 

Shorthand for the rake of coaches based at Carnforth for the Dalesman, SSE and Waverley. It will be interesting to see what stock they have done up for that, and what locos they will use. Or will Tangmere be extremely busy?

 

Why are we discussing WCRC operated trips on the Saphos thread?

 

Just another case of the NP illness called thread drift , or people not being aware of what thread they are posting in?
It's just like people talking about Scotsman in the Tornado thread.

A little late I'm afraid, 61306 1/6/24 returning at Goodrington Sands.

 

Problems with the Paddington - Kingswear tour today. The empty stock move from Southall to Paddington was cancelled after 47.828 was declared a failure.
As a consequence, the train started at Slough behind 47.810. Passengers from Paddington presumably arriving at Slough by service train.

Not a good day for LSL, as it appears the Statesman trip to Weymouth has failed at Poole. It has been there for 100 minutes so unless it is a medical emergency cannot see any other reason why it would block a platform.

 

On Railway Herald it says terminated at Poole due to conveying rolling stock not permitted on third rail network.

WNXX says long swing link bogies on Mk 3s. looks like someone boobed there.

 

Currently past Dorchester Junction 177 late.

I love how people on hear treat the world like mistakes never happen. I’ve known this happen with TOCs who run daily. It’s an easy mistake to happen.

 

Tour departed Norwich 05:05, arrived Weymouth 15:40, returned 90 minutes later.
