The owner has been working on it behind-the-scenes collecting parts, et cetera, and has now brought it to Llangollen to continue the restoration process.

I seem to recall the owner also owns 3802.

Great to see it’s getting some love, remember seeing it at the Northampton and lamport a few years ago and thinking it was likely a no-hoper.

    He owns 50% of 3802.

Although it will be a while until 5967 is restored, it’s great to see it back in Wales and good to
see the Llangollen get another loco for future use.

Progress on 5967 this last weekend. The extension frame and cylinder block were released from the main frames as they are to be replaced by the ones from 4942, which are in much better condition.
Could lead to an interesting identity debate at some time :)

Is this robbing Peter to pay Paul, is it making one good loco out of two poor ones, or are both likely to be restored to running order eventually?

4942 is now 2999, so the frame extensions are spare.

Thank you. I hadn't recognised the number. It's good to know that more of the Hall is being re-used.

Bickmarsh Hall has now been lifted off it’s driving wheels and set on frame stands ready for the next stages of its restoration.
