I was also at Ribblehead, she looked great as she crossed the viaduct, well done to all involved with Leander =D>

I had to dash back to get to work so I will have a look to see if I have anything worth posting up tonight, the wind was straight into the mic for the video and the sun decided to hide as she passed for the stills ](*,) ](*,) At least it didn't rain while I was there, that came as I was driving home so I expect the guys who have stayed out for the return will have some soggy tales to tell!

Leander was going great guns through Horton in Ribblesdale. The weather looked dodgy later on so I didn't bother with Ais Gill on the return.

I was parked up at the side of the road approaching Selside and 5690 was an incredable sight it came up the line from Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

Just uploaded 4 pictures of it here - http://john-robinson.fotopic.net/p58269399.html

Must have been one of the sights of the year for me

Must say judging from the stills the S&C was the place to be today, despite the weather.

Looking forward to some video footage later..

5690 was running to time on the approach to Carlisle; bright weather conditions as well.

Weather in the Mallerstang area for the return run was the complete opposite - rain and poor light, but for some reason, Leander was running some 20 plus minutes early.
    Load was 9 coaches.

Still from video at Ribblehead, went to Ais Gill for the return, wet and windy as she passed by but looked great. Video will hopefully be available later tonight.

She was actually some 20 minutes down at Shotlock, but to get back on time probably did not take the water stop. Similarly on the return, 20 minutes early at Birketts Common, again I would hazard a guess, missed the water stop. Video from the two locations up soon.

Some fine pics and videos already posted guys. Well done.
Must admit I was caught out at Ais Gill on the return, thinking it could be late, and certainly not early ](*,)
After all these years I should be ready for the unexpected.
Anyway, looked & sounded great at Horton in the morning. Here's my contribution

I doubt if 5690 ran from Carlisle to Hellifield on one tank full; I would think the Appleby water stop was taken even if the booked 20 minutes was drastically reduced - ten minutes would be sufficient to put 2000 gallons in - that's the usual amount required after the run from Carlisle.

I'm sure that someone will soon put us right though!

They quite often leave Appleby early after watering. The 'Dalesmans' last year nearly all ran about 20mins early away from Appleby. It Depends on how it is pathed between the local passenger trains, always worth checking.

Considering the weather conditions on the southbound you have produced a very good vid of 5690. Particularly like how you have used the telephoto to maximum benefit.
