I think that has just helped me decide when to visit for the Beachy Head launch event. Sounds like a great weekend Gala.

Hard to think of another line that could put an event on with such a variety of motive power just from its own home fleet resources!

Or indeed with locos from the same railway works. Even with 32424, although built at Sheffield Park, it does have original Brighton Works items, like the Tender frames and wheel sets and axle boxes, the original whistle (unsure about this one as I'm sure it has but can't find the evidence) and regulator handle of the original locomotive.

Really hope to attend this, seven years on since my last Bluebell visit.

Great idea to have another "Built at Brighton" weekend. It has been done before - last time was quite a few years ago and I think the lineup was 55, 473, 80151 and 21C123 but I'm not 100% sure.

2008 - the line up was as you say, and also "Fenchurch".

I'm waiting for "Assembled at Ashford" :) The dates probably won't work out with a large loco, but you could have 65, 263 and 323 in the near future - just need 1638 to make a return!

I'm pretty sure one of the preserved 8Fs is an Ashford machine? I just don't remember which one.

Future galas to include "Designed at Doncaster", "Constructed at Crewe", "Engineered at Eastleigh" and "Scrapped at Swindon."

May be a problem finding locos for the last one!

I don’t see a pronlem there - I’m sure there must be a few preserved locos that contain bits of locos that were indeed “scrapped at Swindonn”, just as 32424 contains bits of the original 32424.

Thanks. I noticed the website had been updated and I could no longer find those timetables. Is it still possible to navigate to those timetable pages from the new website? There doesn't appear to be am obvious way to do it.

UPDATE - I've now seen the big green box with links to the timetables - I don't think that was there when I looked yesterday.
