THRELKELD QUARRY ANNUAL STEAM GALA 27/28 JULY

Usual end of July steam bash around the quarry in the mole hills near Keswick, clip from their web site below, also suggests 30742's charter on 26 July. Narrow minded people wake up time!


Annual steam gala with visiting steam locos - 27/28 July

The visiting locomotives will be:

Sybil - West Lancashire Light Railway

Peter - Amberley Museum

Isabel - Amerton Railway

Sybil Mary - Statfold Barn Railway

We will run a frequent train service on both gala days.

An event worth attending with the possibility of steam excavators being involved to recreate a full narrow gauge experience. Sadly due to health problems an event that I am forced to miss but one I enjoyed over many years.

 

Saturday morning was not good! Fined up by lunch time, variable cloud with the odd spell of sunshine in the afternoon. Complete contrast Sunday, plenty of sun with the odd cloudy interlude toward the end of the afternoon. My contribution, Part 1:
