Cheers Henry, as David says conditions were excellent but you had to be well west to benefit.

A few shots featuring LNER A4 No.60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley', initially seen hauling the ECS to Holyhead at Abergele and Penmaenmawr stations, followed by Rhosneigr and Hargrave.

Video of train leaving Cardiff shows the green 47 "Crewe Diesel Depot" on the back.

There's also a generator car so I guess that's called "belt & braces"!!!

According to my GPS speed app, 49mph at St Mary Xing and 25mph into the tunnel. At Paddington the driver of Braunton said the diesel was requested to take its own weight.

We had long stretches of 70 mph plus running with Braunton and with SNG yesterday.

I thought that might have gone back to Crewe with the two Class 37s that brought the train south yesterday, but that didn't happen.

so do we have any indication of the loco rostered for the 28th KGX / York excursion? Looks like something is coming down from Crewe Wednesday. Need to decide if its worth a drive to the flat lands for filming.
