It is nearly time for the show of the year and the show of the year must have show stopping beers......

If you want any particular beer over the weekend, get it posted on here and we might just have it on the bar.

If we get some suggestions we might have a poll!!

    Rich

P.S. We are currently supporting the North East with some of their fine Mordue beer!! Is that the only good thing about the North East.... Hmmm.... \:D/

Just as long as there's no curtains on the 'van... oh and do make sure that you take the handbrake off completely when coming up the bank, it would be a terrible shame if it were to accidentally nip a little. 8-[

I'm sure you will not be disappointed by the selection that will be provided for you...

What's this about Fosters? Didn't they build traction engines?

More details of the event :-

Backworth 47 - I will be looking to do something with Wimble - a pair of blue engines on the 18 wagons perhaps, also sat night pose ( p&jr please note ). No11 & Moss bay to be dug out of the museum, both not had fresh air for many years. Line freight - early doors and late return ( to and from caveswall road ). New arrival ( steam ) expected & will be on display in one lump before moving onto boultons siding. NSR coach trust to display finished chassis & progress to date.

Still hope for a static visitor in addition to no 47.

If you can help out please let me know, still time to refine.

The beer is sorted then !

Dave, further idea for the gala (inspired by tonight), could a quiz be arranged for the Saturday night, possibly with a railway theme? Maybe Foxfield vs Tanfield? \:D/

Good idea, funds to the NSR coach perhaps. Will talk will talk to folk today - all visitors welcome.

I just hope that Tanfield wont complain that they lost because there were not enough main line questions !.

Further idea for the gala (and it keeps the thread at the top of the page!), maybe a driver for a fiver operation if a loco is laying over at Caverswall Road? :)

Well driver for a fiver seems like a good idea for this year with a decent RSH visiting and some gud 'uns from the home fleet but if you'd done it with last year's visitor I would have expected to be paid more than a fiver to drive something from Bristol! \:D/
