M7 Tank at Haverthwaite

    Going past Lakeside and Haverthwaite this lunch time and sat in the yard was a southern M7 tank loco in BR Black

    Since 30053 is under restoration that is unlikely.
    I suspect it is the Caley tank.

    Yes I am an active volunteer
    It is the Caley tank, from a photo description on Facebook I believe it was there for a photo charter but failed the steam test. So, the charter didn't go ahead and I believe it is now awaiting transport home.

    A couple were loaned to Manningham so KWVR might even be prototypical, wonder if any crept onto the Furness too?

    That's a shame, although I must admit, I was somewhat cross that said photo charter sold out before I even heard that it was happening! Let's hope there might be another opportunity at some point?
