Personally I would love to buy a loco built by the LMS. Sadly there are not many around and those who own them, dispite their condition in some cases are unwilling to sell, at least for a realistic price. So what am I to do with my money. I could buy a GWR loco (I could even buy 2859 and upset a few people), but that is not where my interest lies.

Just because there are locos that need an overhaul littering railways up and down the country it does not mean I should spend my money on them.

If I choose to give my money to a new build LMS loco I would argue that money wasn't available to any other project.

I do, in fact Mr Bradshaw has already emptied my wallet this week.

Based on the current market, where 4806 sold for £400k i'm going to have to wait for a jinty.

Fantastic! David is good at doing that!

And if you want a jinty then there is the frames of one at Midland Railway Centre. ;-)
