Definitely not 6695 then, unless they make an agreement to bring it back!

But thats like saying I eat cheese. Both cheese and ovoids come in many different types & flavours.

As ovoids are made from pulverised anthracite I would expect the ash residue to be dust. Nothing significant in that.

    WSRA Journal landed yesterday.

Happy to read that an autumn steam event will be taking place next year, 17-19th October. Much missed!

I'd have thought one look at Swanage would be enough to kill that idea stone dead now...

No because this scheme is entirely different. This is not the WSR running trains (a la Swanage) but GWR running their trains to BL. So for a start none of the issues that Swanage had with rolling stock and staffing. There is a much fuller and more accurate report in the latest journal, just issued.

I dont know what capacity is like at Taunton but as with some Southern Railway electrification schemes presumably turning trains round at Bishops Lydeyard would improve capacity at Taunton?

Is it so different given the proposal to run year round WSR services to connect with the buses and GWR?

I think the main problem at Taunton at present is that signalling only allows access to/from the WSR via platform 2 and the Down/Up Relief, which means trains have to cross the main running lines at Norton Fitzwarren. This could cause pathing problems for a regular service..
