Yes, turntable at Wansford isn't currently certified to turn something as heavy as an A4 unfortunately

This looks like a path for 44871 to return from York to Southall after working the northbound train - both light engine and support coach and return charter both heading back via Lincoln, to be back in London for the remaining Polar Express duties

 

Correct for the 11th, but above the 18th is the one being discussed.

 

Not sure I'm afraid. The cast iron manufacturers plate says 140 tons from memory.

I don't know what the issue is, but apparently it requires a 5 figure sum being spent to allow it to turn something the size of the A4, so possibly a bit more than just paperwork

 

Well, mention is made elsewhere of the ex-Calais 70ft turntable at the Dean Forest... but if five figures is being mentioned that suggests a great deal of remedial work.

I suspect this will be 45212 and 44932 top and tail with the support coaches (same thing last NYE with 45407 and 44871).
45212 (and 44871 & 45407) will all be in need of some TLC, probably at Riley and Son.
