Midland Railway Butterley - English Electric Event

Hi chaps,

Our English Electric Event will be on 27th and 28th June.

Locomotives running at the event will be:

VISITING LOCOMOTIVE
Class 37, 37248 (formerly named Midland Railway Centre)

HOME FLEET
Class 40, D212
Class 50, 50007

Class 08, 08331
Class 08, 08590
Class 600, 687

There will be other additional attractions throughout both days (yet to be confirmed.)

37248 is visiting courtesy of The Growler Group and will be running both days of event. (27th and 28th June 2009)

Nice to see MRB getting back to grips with obtaining visiting engines for diesel events.....hopefully next time something a bit more imaginetive than 37248 can attend however beggars can't be choosers!

Interesting to see the timetable "operating in reverse" this time!

Trains non stop from Swanwick to Hammersmith rather than the usual other way round.

Loco changes at Hammersmith, again, nice change to mix things up a bit.
