    Hello Mark,
Great photos, glad you had a good day at Bodmin & Wenford Railway. Especially like the photos of the 0298 Class 2-4-0WT 30587 Beattie Well Tank. In my mind one of the best little "tanks" designed and built.
I see by your website you were on the 2nd. "Severn Coast Express" yesterday evening. I went up to Bishops Lydeard and took some photographs of the A1 60163 TORNADO when she stopped off there with her train to take on water. You and anyone else who wishes too may have a look at my results, using the link below to my collections.
Also think your "up close" pics of TORNADO at Minehead are very good :smt023. Keep enjoying your hobby.

    Best regards to all, SteamHawk216.

Many thanks SteamHawk, your comments and the like (and constructive criticism) are always welcomed from anyone (In fact i encourage them,i always like feedback),glad you liked them! I love the Well-Tank too,i was saying today it is simply amazing to think what that engine has been through worldwide in the hundred-and thirty or so years its been built! It is an awesome little tank!

Had a great day on Tornado as usual, made a fantastic noise and the light at Minehead was brilliant!

    Regards,
    Mark

I like the 'change over' theme - nice contrast between photographing the Beattie 2-4-0 well tank on one train, then the class 50 on another. The 50 has been nicely restored; although she had a problem that stopped her from performing on the 10.00 ex Bodmin General this morning.

Hi, Alberta 45562 - glad the 50 regained her composure. After being replaced by 5552 on the 10.00 off Bodmin General, she went off down towards Parkway presumably to check she was OK, while the Beattie and 6435 went to Boscarne Jct. I couldn't stay after that because Sunday lunch was waiting for me!

BTW, I recommend travelling on the brake van trips that are usually offered on these occasions - you can't beat them for atmosphere, and the view from the verandah (or whatever the technical term is for the open part of the brake van).

Yeah,it was brilliant when he opened it fully out on the climb from Boscarne,it also worked the 12:50 off General so must have been ok then.

I dont think there were brake van trips yesterday, which was a pity :(

    Cheers,
    Mark

Not wishing to be pedantic, but there was a brake van trip yesterday; the goods left Bodmin General about 09.00 behind 5552, went down to Parkway and back.

There wasn't one on Saturday 30 May.

](*,) ](*,) Alberta hadn't mentioned our first attempt to join the B&W train at Parkway, after a couple of attempts I gave up the ghost trying to pay for the car park using the mobile via the number given on the sign, the robot didn't seem to understand my Yorkshire accent!.In the end all turned out well because we found an ideal space in the B&W car park at General station, and free of charge, which I hadn't expected,as Mark says a very enjoyable afternoon spent in lovely weather too.
