I wonder what the chances are that a Derby built steam and diesel loco will attend?
1000 Midland compound and one of the original Peaks, they are all located close to Derby

A very good point. If they are short of space, the organisers could reduce the number of Deltics listed to appear!

I very much doubt space is an issue!

It all depends on how much space Alstom make available. They still have a business to run even if this is in the holiday shut down.

If a WCRC or Riley black 5 is to appear as well (most appropriate) West Coast could be a bit stuck for motive power.
Two black 5's at Fort William, 34067 to work the CME to Carlisle and the Waverley from York over the weekend with no back up....
( Unless the CDL issue is resolved by then ... )

    Cheers, Neil

Nowhere has it specifically stated it’s a Riley 5 tbh. They’ve used a picture of 871, but the actual wording was “a WCRC Black 5”….Id have thought that’s 232.

As far as I’m aware, and knowing 2/3 of the organisers, it’s most of Litchurch Lane that’s being used. Given the sight itself is something daft in size I would think they’re gunna be fine for space!

That's good to hear. I was remembering Eastleigh 100 where all sorts of scrap stock and half repaired stuff was shunted away from the public areas. ( Translator coaches were shipped of to East Yard for the weekend.)
44932 makes sense as it's VB only and could come across with 35018 and 46115.

    Cheers, Neil

Have you considered maybe it might have been a deliberate misunderstanding, or what is known as a "joke".

Personally, I very much hope so. With my particular interest in the pre-grouping companies, an event at Derby without a Midland Railway loco would feel incomplete to me. Sadly, I suspect the "Spinner" (673) probably won't be a contender--I expect she would be difficult to extract from Station Hall at York, with building work there still ongoing.

Announcements seemed to have gone quiet on this, so I had a bit of a look. Last couple of weeks they've announced a Class 70, a Class 350 set (both yet to be specified) and 20007&20205.
