    Hello,
On Thursday 27/2/25 a BRW cattle wagon body B893455 will be transported from Skipton to Williton WSR. This body is owned by the GWR 813 Fund.
Also on the transport will be a RCH chassis, which will be the chassis for the GWR 813 Fund's GWR cattle wagon body.
The BRW body and the BRW chassis at Williton will then travel to a company near Frome to be welded/riveted together to form a BRW wagon. IMG_0969 (1).jpg IMG_0378 (1).jpg

Will update as the projects progress.

That really is good news as so few cattle wagons have survived into preservation. I presume the chassis are the two correct 11' w.b.ones from Scotland. Now a question. Have there been 2 bodies at Embsay? The reason I ask is that the photo below, from quite a few years ago, appears to show a body with a different roof amongst other differences. At this time it was sitting on the n.g. tracks. Any ideas?
    Ray.

    Hello,
I know one one other BRW Cattle Wagon that is being restored at the moment. The wagon is currently at WSR Minehead. The vehicle is destined for a railway center in Oxfordshire. I am not certain of where the body came from. The underframe is the other chassis fro Bo'ness.

Slightly off topic, but is the NG rail at Embsay still in use?
