Yes Booked on it, glad the timings only give us 2hrs in Holyhead, much better than 4hrs on a Sun.

Running 30 minutes late, ex-LMS Stanier Black Five 4-6-0 No. 45212 heads the Railway Touring Company's The Mancunian charter as it crosses over the West Coast main line at Hartford while en route to Holyhead on Saturday 1st March 2025.

Any idea what's causing the delays.

45212 in North Wales, crossing the viaduct at Landdulas and passing the Ty Croes down distant signal with a backdrop of a snow covered Snowdonia.

Not a bad foray into Wales on St David's day, all told. The link between Stockport and Northenden Junction was pretty rare and useful for the steam map, as was the stretch from Hartford CL Junction to Mickle Trafford (I did Hartford CL Junction to Northenden Junction via Northwich with 45690 back in 2016 - think much of this stretch was last done by 60163 in 2019).

We never managed to recover the deficit caused by the low water pressure at Denton, which essentially snowballed into an hour by the time we left Holyhead. However, we were blessed by lovely weather and views of Snowdonia.

All the gear and no idea, if he’d stood on the path to the left of the signs he would have got much better front three quarter angle
