Rather disappointing from the steam point of view - 1 Bulleid Pacific out each day and then only doing one round trip.

Any ideas what ">R 35" and "R> 35" mean on the 10.07 from Bury and 11.06 from Rawtenstall on Sunday. I assume it refers to D7076, but don't know what the ">R" and "R>" mean.

I would presume it means off at Ramsbottom (ie. pilot to Ramsbottom to sidings, then onto rear on return).

I guess it wasn't worth steaming both Bulleids during the weekend for basically one round trip each day?

Timetable for Saturday needs rectifying as still showing 34092 City of Wells as operating.
34081 mainly doing the dining train on Sunday, apart from a mid morning return which is not good for people travelling from Yorkshire by train, as cant get there till after 11am. what a poor effort now after stating so positively

I agree. It's now pretty much just a diesel event.

it started positively as that is how you portrayed it . Even at five diesel engines and two steam always hinted that this was weighted to a diesel event and logic could guide you to steam being for dining services .

I see we still have the do not lean out of the window notice. I an unaware of any other line that publishes this "safety notice" at their galas (surely it should every day not just galas!). Are clearances especially tight on the ELR?

ELR route is mainly in open countryside, I haven't noticed anything that could be considered 'tight'

No, but it seems to attract its fair share of wallies at diesel galas that it's been noticed by ORR/HMRI.
