General Electric U-Boat in the UK

I guess this might have passed everyone in here by but might still be of interest. You can follow the restoration of the only UK based GE U-Boat here.

These may be obvious questions answered on the website but I couldn't see - where you talk about regauging in the news updates, is that back to the original 2-foot or up to standard gauge? And where are you hoping to base it?

 

Back to 2 foot, and it'll travel a bit. There's a bunch of things happening in the background about that, but it's not a concern until the engineering is done.

 

You can just plop it on standard AAR B trucks if you want it to be standard gauge of course! There's no plan to do that though.
