Nice to see Tornado back at the head of a mainline train. Shame about the new Western camouflage green paint, but one can't have everything ;-)

Oh phooey - that's a shame. Cheers for the clarification though.
Don't suppose it mattered yesterday to not have AC in those Mark 2s, of course...

Also, thanks again for the details of the track alterations.

Think you'll find it was Thursday 31st May 2012 David; unless the Wistle Calendar differs from the Gregorian.

Thanks Graham, I'd jotted down May and then for some reason typed April!? 31st of April - what was I thinking! I'm looking forward to (hopefully) reading your report from Saturday's planned outing.

45212 ECS move to York, seen at Eldroth/Hellifield/Little Fenton.

Video does start at Keighley with a timetable test day, and includes a Class 60 for those who can bear such horrors!

It'll be because it was with Vintage this weekend just gone so makes sense to use the same crew for simplicity sake

Nothing to do with who operated it previously.

I suspect she is no longer on West Coast's books and VT are now the only one's able to operate her.

As VT operated it on Saturday and took 45596 back to the Worth Valley perhaps its as simple as one of their crews fancied a day on the Valley and a run to the Moors. Wouldn't blame them.

Cue speculation that WCR have black balled her, BLS have black balled WCR, David Smith has refused to operate her unless they paint her pink, the A1SLT have got involved, there was someone from WCR on a grassy knoll who refused to mandate the move.....:D
