    13th/14th April Hunter Valley Steamfest. Includes ARTC Great Train Race. Tickets available shortly apparently.
    11th/12th May Blue Mountains Flyer (double-heading with Beyer Garrett 6029). SOLD OUT

    Diary date - Thirlmere Festival of Steam takes place on 18th/19th MAY 2024. Further details promised in due course.

    Superficially, seen a lot worse. It's only when a loco is dismantled that any horrors can be assessed properly.

    Assuming that you are referring to 3820 I don't think it is being restored to operational condition.. It has been transferred to the old Chullora Works in Sydney for cosmetic restoration and no more.

    Meanwhile 3801 has been out of action for over a year now while various defects are sorted out. I've no idea how this is progressing.

    Thank you. I was referring to other people's contributions about the possibility of it going main line again.
    As you say, the current movement seems to be prior to cosmetic work after (presumably) asbestos boiler lagging removal.
