The first of this year's "Railway 200" tours is on Saturday, with Pathfinder's 2x WCR Class 47 tour from Gloucester to Stanhope.

It sets down at the A1 Trust's new Hopetown shed on the way, as well as Shildon for the Locomotion museum. I debated both options but decided to stay on to Stanhope, as I've never been on the heritage line at all so it will be entirely new track for me.

Hoping for a good day out.

Really good day out with Pathfinder yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the Weardale Railway. Chatting with @Will RL on board, we both agreed that if neither of us had been on that tour, we would both have been on Blue Peter going around the coast instead. Having now caught up with yesterday's events on the coast, perhaps we made the right choice! I'm around the coast myself on Wednesday on the Midland Pullman (should thankfully be unaffected by fire risk)!
