    Bye 'ell, they brought back a lot of happy memories (brought a tear to my eyes seeing Seaforth Highlander), and I've been chased out of Holbeck (us young lads called it Nineveh) quite a number of times. We never went in via the normal entrance, our usual 'entry point' was through the large hole in the back wall of the roundhouse where a very nice driver had reversed a 4F straight through the wall. Whoops.
    VERY happy days.

    I think 31/57 is actually 8295. 8245 never existed at that time; it was the last in the gap 8226-8245. They were built to WD orders in 1940 and loaned to the LMS (and GWR) until requisitioned again in 1941 and went to the Middle East. Some did return in 1948 but did not receive updated versions of their previous LMS numbers. 8245 was not one of them and transferred to Egyptian State Railways as No.852 in 1942. It's complicated!
