    Afternoon All,

I had a week's holiday on the Kent coast earlier this month and, naturally, visited the RH&DR whilst there. The first selection of pictures is now on Flickr and, if anyone would like to see them, this is the first one in the Photostream :

As usual, clicking on the picture will enlarge it and take you to the others.

    Hope they're of interest.

    Evening All,

I have finally got round to editing the penultimate part of the video footage that I shot on the RH&DR in October, 2021. So come with me on a high speed run on a non-stop train comprising 22 carriages hauled by seven steam engines; this episode runs from Dungeness to New Romney, where it comes to a rather abrupt stop:

Hope you like it. If you missed any of the previous episodes, there is a link to the complete playlist under the video and at the end of the video.

    TTFN,

    Ron.

It's almost ten years since this thread was started and here I am making post #4. Is there really so little to be said about the RH&DR?

I spent last week in Kent, visiting several attractions including this one. I had a pleasant day on an all-day ticket and took a few pictures, but haven't yet decided whether any are worth posting.

We could start a discussion about the possibility of them extending to Folkestone if you like. ;):D

Ignoring the cost/benefit considerations and looking only at technical feasibility, you probably could squeeze in the railway formation beside the Royal Military Canal as far as where that ends.
