That's handsome. I really do hope they can get a (long) period of trouble free running out of it.
I think the livery suits it well.;)

Does it really matter? The inclusion of the cat tales is in a post relevant. It’s light hearted. Or do we have to abide by the rules so strictly nobody can have varying views? I recall something similar happening in Germany in the 1920s/1930s!

Thanks Al. Yes I am well aware of the thread but funnily enough I didn't create it - it was created by a moderator? who chose to move my post about the death of Diego to a newly created thread. As Diego had developed his own "fan club" in the "What's Going On" thread I chose to post it there to get the sad news through to all his "followers". Since the new thread was created I add cat posts with photos or video to this dedicated thread. After Maisie arrived and in response to a few posts and questions whilst I have been out and about I have added a single "Maisie" paragraph to my longer posts in WGO.

I do try to adopt a more rounded approach to my posts than most other members, I try to provide context, throw in a bit of humour and attempt to interest and entertain. I genuinely can't see what harm a paragraph of text is doing. :(:Cat:

I do find that @Big Al can have a strange attitude at times. There really is nothing wrong with @Oswald T Wistle posting updates on Maisie in What’s Going On and I don’t see why it isn’t acceptable to post traffic info on the same thread. There are an awful lot of members on Nat Pres who photograph and take videos who appreciate the information.

Varying rules? Read the rules about content needing to be thread relevant. There is, after all, a thread for cat stuff. Given that 'What's Going On' has massive traffic flow and contains key information that's at the core of why the Forum exists it hardly helps for additional stuff to appear.

But that's fine. I'll remember that when we get yet another request to tidy up a thread because it has become cluttered. And your 1930 remark is not funny; it is offensive.

I find myself in total agreement with both Oswald and Al.

I look forward to Oswald's messages about his adventures - for the information, the videos, the humour and the story of how the day went on. Including the cat content, which doesn't take up a new message and is often releted to the story as a whole.
But I can see that some people anxious to find out "What's Going On" will be frustrated to see purely cat comments when they follow up an alert! Again, it doesn't bother me: anything is better than the News these days...

Maybe follow up cat-only comments could be put on the cat comments?

    I'll take cover...
