The webpage mentioned in the first post (https://bodminrailway.co.uk/springsteamgala/) has been updated with timetables for all three days now too. Nice variety of services, really looking forward to seeing the auto tank there in particular.

Heard 1450 out on test today ahead of the event. Autogear all good, sounded excellent climbing the banks. Looking forward to an exciting event this weekend.

Superb morning at this event today. The auto tank looks lovely there and great to see a Pannier in action at Bodmin again too.

Loads of nice little touches like not just opening up the workshops to look around, but creating two viewing areas at the back and side of them to get some different pictures, and volunteers going out of their way to tell people that this existed and how to get there. Great pasties and cakes from the cafe, and if I hadn't been driving and working later I'd have been keen to see what was on offer in the bar van in the bay platform.

And how often does a gala with what looks on paper like a pretty complex timetable actually pull time back during a day? Things were 20-30 mins late almost immediately yet bang on time when I left at 2pm.

Well worth a visit this weekend when there's even more going on with Judy and the other Prairie out too.

    One is small.
    The other, far away.

It's always a good sign when the car park is full an hour before the first train is due to depart. While Bodmin's car park is admittedly a little small anyway, platforms and trains were heaving!
