It puts me in mind of a Jeremy Clarkson review of (I think) a Bentley, where he's going on about the oxblood leather upholstery " the B- Pillars are wide enough for the horse brasses, and there's even enough room in the back for the open fireplace".
Like the idea about the awards ceremony "trebles all round, its the HRA's tab!"

Wasn’t there one of them that had a really curvy interior with scalloped tables? I seem to recall a photo in a book I had as a child, but all the online searches I do seem to turn up just the olde-worked pub one.

These were the ones I was going about originally, Tom.
Built 1938 for the Bognor electric sets. A Bulleid interior inside a more or less Maunsell-designed body shell, and oh look- totally inappropriate horse brasses!
I remember going into the last surviving one of these at a Brighton station open day in the late 70s. Unfortunately it was burnt out on the Nene Valley Railway just a few years later. I reckon one could be recreated, given an appropriate donor vehicle.
And yes, I would certainly be happy to stump up for it.

@Jamessquared Tom if you able to give an update for the coming weekend, with an idea of the schedule for the Saturday charter, I'd be very grateful as always.

And of course - usual caveats about loco rostering etc fully accepted.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

Reminds me of a late 90s / early 00s end of the night ride home in the 442’s bar car from Waterloo…

So, usual caveats, appears to be:

    Friday
    A - 73082 / Green Mark 1s
    WR - 34059 / Rambler set
    Evening - 34059 / Rambler set

    Saturday
    A - 73082 / Green Mark 1s
    B - 80151 / Obo, Mets, SECR 100 seater
    GAL - 34059 / Pullmans

The lunchtime Pullman is a private charter so runs to amended times - if you are after the northbound arrivals into HK, they are at 12:40 (P2) and 16:25 (P4/5).

    Sunday
    A - 73082 / Green Mark 1s
    B - 80151 / Obo, Mets, SECR 100 seater
    GAL - 34059 / Pullmans
The lunchtime Pullman runs to the normal timings.

    Monday
    A - 73082 / Green Mark 1s
    B - 80151 / Obo, Mets, SECR 100 seater
    GAB - 34059 / Pullmans
    WR - 34059 / Rambler set

The GA here is a breakfast service - leaves Sheffield Park at 9:30 for one round trip. The Rambler is in the afternoon.

No. 65 has apparently landed deep in GWR territory on a missionary expedition to convert the heathens.

Well it does have some extra shiny bits on the top so it might find it easier to blend in

    Many thanks Tom.

Very nice to see 80151 back. I shall have to work hard to be able to photo that, but I have one idea already!

And according to https://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/bluebell/pti/index.html which for reasons that are not clear isn't usually as accurate as you are, indicates the Brit is arriving tomorrow?

Yes, I don't fully follow the movements from our notes, but at least what is written, arrives Friday afternoon and departs Sunday morning.
