Was in steam and pottering around Boston Lodge earlier.

Rumour going around was a hot box so hopefully it'll be able to participate in the cavalcade at low speed even if it can't haul its booked trains.
Latest timetable I've seen had Linda working WP's booked Sunday morning turn.

I've been told the 1500 will be Blanche instead of Linda

07:00 struggling from Port, losing lots of time sadly, low adhesion.

I have a spare wristband for the cavalcade viewing area, as my wife can no longer join me.
Free to good home, just drop me a PM, first come first served.
Currently on the 0820 to Blaenau, then planning to take it back as far as Boston Lodge and hang around there until it starts.

    Sorry, no longer available.

Also a heads up for anyone who's linesiding only, the FR has started that the Cob footpath will be closed to the public during the cavalcade and only accessible to event rover ticket holders.

Is the Cob not a public right of way?

The Boston Lodge Webcam showed Linda and Blanche with set C going across to Porthmadog, presumably to form this set.

Superb cavalcade despite the wind, nice to see the C 2 across the cob with 134.

Just back from a thoroughly enjoyable few days. It wouldn't be an FR event without some horrendously late running! However everything was dealt with well - the emailed out updated loco rosters on the Friday were a really nice touch - and considering how dry everything is, and how recently the services have been diesel only, I think we're quite lucky to have had what is surely a bit of a once in a lifetime (or at least decade...?) event.

Thanks to all the staff for a brilliant week, best gala you’ve ever done? Yes it’s been the late show but it’s been great fun, you all should be very proud. Congratulations IMG_8316.jpeg

Can't add much more to what's been said above other than a big thank you to everyone who organised the event. It did show off the remarkable breadth and depth of operational locos / rolling stock the railways have - surely unrivalled anywhere else!
The late running was frustrating and prevented me from doing what I originally planned - it also meant I didn't see the work completed at Boston Lodge either, but I still had a superb day on both railways. Just means I will have to return again soon!!

Footage from across the 4 days, highlights include Double Green engines double heading, Prince on the RAFs, 200 wheeled goods, double headed ladies, Moelwyn on 'clearance trains' and the cavalcade (although fuller video on that to follow)
