The Coal Tank will be on view for photography during guided tours of the yard.

Meanwhile The Duke and Moorbarrow have been fitted with stainless steel mesh spark arrestors, the forecast is rain, so fingers crossed for the steam aspect of this event.

There will be draft Bass on sale throughout the weekend. The newly restored LMS coach is down on its bogies and undergoing braking trials. In addition, one of our road/rail landrovers will be demonstrated on the Saturday and Sunday and it is likely that there will be a limited number of LR driving experiences in the yard and station area.

Wirksworth had heavy rain yesterday, and both The Duke and Moorbarrow have had stainless steel fine mesh spark arrestors fitted. We now expect to be running steam services this weekend.

Meanwhile there are plans for the event to include a film show and uncensored talk on the adventures of railway volunteers in earlier years, to be given in the conference room on Saturday Afternoon. If you have read any of the articles called "Memoirs of a Railway Volunteer" in the "Bullhead Memories" section of this site then you may have an idea of the content. If it works out we may do it again on Sunday.
