45312 ran from Chester to Crewe on Tuesday. The remainder of the move from Crewe to Southall was cancelled at operators request. As far as I know it is still at Crewe

There's now a 5Z42 Carnforth - Southall VSTP in the system for tomorrow. 06:43 off Carnforth holding sidings, 13:26 into Southall WCR. Timed for 6omph but no water stops.

Could be the Crompton returning with a new BSO for the Southall rake ahead of Saturday's tour?

I understand anyone going out to see Tornado in this path tonight is likely to be disappointed.

Not sure of the reason for the two paths. I believe Monday's path via Hellifield is for 44932 and BIL while the one via Crewe is for 46115. There is also another path on Wednesday morning via Hellifield which I believe is for 45699/(45627). I assume all will be diesel "assisted" due to the ongoing RED status lunacy.

There's no reason for them to be in steam at all though, is there?

Yes. Lubrication purposes. All of them will need steam to be dragged unless the rods are removed

Strangely the Wednesday path is 0Z33 - indicating a light loco?

WCR support coach 80217, which accompanied 60163 from Joppa after 21249 was dumped at Alloa.

Having been retrieved, I wonder if it will be accompanying the WCR steam locos to Derby next week?
