I may have missed an announcement somewhere, is it the case that WCRC have purchased this HST for their fleet, or is it a loan/other arrangement?

They've had eight HST trailers at Carnforth since May. Total should be: 2 power cars, 9 trailer standards, 3 trailer guard standards.

I'm more Slough House so it would have passed me by anyway.

Well, doing a bit of Kremlinology (Carnforthology) it sounds like they're moving into the HST tour market. Which, fine, the more preserved and working the better as far as I'm concerned. Hoping for the classic InterCity livery. They'd look weird in WCRC house colours.

I'm sure I read that the plan was for them to be used as people-movers for events - FootExes and the like. The trailers have few tables so not much use for charter operation without a complete internal refit.

If the plan is to move them as "people movers" why would you not paint them in your inhouse colour scheme?
Plus that may have the advantage for 10A of upsetting a few enthusiasts along the way as well.:)
