Greatest Gathering Friday 1st August 2025

After staying overnight in Derby i set off from the hotel to join the queue for entrance into Derby Litchurch Lane
It was quite long at about 9am, then all of a sudden after about 10 minutes it started moving, quite quickly, they had let people in early
Finally got in just before 10am, and bot were my knees hurting me, doubtful i could get to see everything today, which i wasn't able to, but going again on Saturday
Anyway first collection is the preserved steam locos and boy someone really messed up not having all 4 LNER pacifics next to each other!!

My knees were just not able to cope , but back tomorrow for the rest
