Wouldn’t have thought they have enough ‘minders’ to man each cab. Perhaps that’s why they did 2 separate runs last week?

All will be revealed tomorrow. Incidentally I am old enough to remember seeing D5177 (and others) brand new at Holbeck. It was a long time ago!

What is the purpose of Lamp Codes anyway?
As there are very few Signal Boxes to take note of them, what use are they?

On the same score, what use is a tail lamp since there isn't a Bobby to check it's there? But if you set off without one, you might have a bit of explaining to do.

Though I'm fairly sure that you didn't see 68923 brand new.

I believe it is all 4. BIL, then Guardsman, then Galatea, then the 5, then 5x MK1 coach.

Hopefully, if the 37 is with them, it will be on the back.

WCRC seem to have often run two tours on the same day that have each needed two crews. I would assume it is only the lead loco where the driver would have to sign for the route?

No, although some days I feel as though I could have! I did see her and several of her sisters almost every time we went spotting locally in Bradford or anywhere in Yorkshire.

I never saw 68923 as I didn't get to Bradford until steam was about to end in 67, but I saw most of the J50s shedded at Hornsey in the 50s and early 60s.

I began spotting in 1958 on the "South" side of Bradford, the ex GNR and L&Y lines. The J50's were plentiful in Bradford until replaced by Class 03/04 shunters. These were a novelty at the time but did not quite have the same appeal. Sadly the J50's were all scrapped before preservation really got going. A J52 did survive but we had to go further afield for those.
