    I was on the return service - LCGB's "Fells & Dales" trip, that day. 92220 & Hardwicke from Carnforth to Leeds, Leeds-Harrogate-York with 4472, then Leeds-Carnforth with 1306 & 45407. Class 81 Crewe-Carnforth & back, IIRC.

Looks like The Lakelander on 16 Aug has become more of a CME. Times on RTT show steam on at Preston then north over Shap to Carlisle before returning over the S&C with steam coming off on the chord Lostock Hall Jn/Farington Jn. Enjoy!

Yes, I have read that she took the last ever train to run from Hull to York via Market Weighton, complete with headboard, departing Hull Paragon at 19.35 on Saturday November 27th 1965. She was a Hull based loco all her life (Botanic Gardens then Dairycoates) until June 1967 when we were lucky to have her until withdrawal in September. She was one of the last 3 B1's in service (excluding a couple of departmental carriage heaters) with 61030 "Nyala" and 61337, all at Low Moor.

I saw 61306 on my visit to Leeds on its last day of service, 30 September 1967, and very smart it looked too, in its lined BR black livery. I'd love to see it looking that way again.

That was the last day of steam working outside of the LMS region. Alberta, Kolhapur and 45428 were among the other locos busy that day, with the added attraction of Clun Castle passing Holbeck on its way to Carlisle.

That is very kind of you to say so David. As you know it is a good walk up to this location. It ticked all the boxes yesterday with the strong SW wind, so the cutting did all that we thought it would and give us some protection. If the sun had made an appearance then we would have been good for the light. Sadly it didn't but who needs sun when the B1 put in this kind of performance. Great to briefly see you later in the day. Take care and thanks again. Simon

I know that some photographers don’t like the use of drones, but that video contained some superb aerial shots.

And if noise from them intrudes on other people's videos like clicking shutters do.

That's opening a whole different worm hole Ralph and outside the scope of this thread.
Personally these days my camera bodies have silent electronic shutters - noises can be provided however on request :D

I am aware of that but still wonder why the requested sound needs to be so loud.
