I believe Rileys did work on 78022's boiler - what other locomotives have they worked on besides Flying Scotsman?

    Boiler wise 5025, 2807, 828, 6024, 7828 all immediately come to mind, I presume 47298 and 16440?

    76079, 45407, 45212, 44871

Must be plenty of others too.

Think you can add 44806 to that list as well.

There's probably too many to count overall, but currently I know they have:
45163 - frames being restored and set to join their main running fleet
    34007
    47445 - frames
    8572 - frames
2253 - tender, being converted for oil firing

Isn't the man himself on this forum, you never know if he gets a few spare hours he may list all the locos they've worked on, assuming they can remember them all without going back through their records!!!

If we are talking over the years, I think it will come as a shock to quite a few people, just how much Riley's have done, And, its not just complete engines either, look at what else gets done by his firm machining, pressing,

I wonder if 45163 will take the place of 45212, of whether it will increase the fleet to four Black 5's

I read somewhere that Riley's also created the locomotive for Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning.

With the heavy proviso that I don't know what practical considerations there are and that there's nothing easier than spending other people's money, I wonder if Riley's have given any thought to acquiring 45491 while it's available?

I'm sure the thought must have crossed his mind, and that if it has he must be a prime contender to secure it! Isn't his lease on 45212 due to come to an end soon?

Ian has recently agreed a loan deal for 45163 which could be a replacement for 45212, or maybe Ian is just expanding his fleet!

The bio on their recently-refreshed instagram page states they're home to "four Stanier Black locomotives, 3 operating on the UK national mainline network" which to me implies an expansion.

Not true, look up BGI supplies ltd on instagram - their next project after the prop loco was a mock Flying Fortress for Masters of the air. Dead cool.
Riley’s did the wheelsets and other bits plus a lot of work getting it in a state where it could move and not come off the track.

I stand corrected. Thanks for that. I looked up their website. They have created some fascinating stuff for both Film and TV projects.
