GCR Railways at work gala 16/17th August

    If its the same as todays ECS at 08.15 it carries passengers,!!Well several got of at Lec north .They shunted a Royal mail coach out there ,also it was the 73 rather than the Hall.

    27056 shunted 78018 from road 3 to road 2 Looks likely it'll be out vice the 5 tomorrow

    Well it is meant to be the 1960’s, Britains run down railways!!
    Seemed to get better in the afternoon 55019 25-35 minutes late, got held for a while just after departing Quorn heading back to Loughborough

    thanks to anyone who posted taxis, there was 1 on the rank in the morning , I had made a list of half a dozen taxi firms, did ok with just the first one late Saturday afternoon

    Police incident at quorn station . Road closed on the bridge . Trains running ok

    It did seem rather odd that, on Saturday, the bus was running from Quorn to Loughborough Grammar School (for the model railway exhibition) which is only a short distance from Loughborough Central station.
