60532 seen coming into view by Salt Lake Cottages from the slopes of Whernside and crossing Ribblehead Viaduct with steam to spare then slipping on Blea Moor and blowing off again, the last shot with 57311 on the highline from my bedroom window dropping down to Oxenholme Station.

Steam to spare, 60532 observes the restriction over the viaduct with todays Lakes Express.

60532 Ribblehead lr.jpg Nice to see a train in the afternoon at this classic location.

Very nice. That is me lurking under the footbridge trying to minimise the glare of the sun as she approached.

Many thanks Simon and much appreciated, I've been wanting to do that particular Blea Moor shot for over twenty years and with extra time on my hands decided to give it a try as I'm not getting any younger.

Fab! Is that taken from the Craven Way going over to Dentdale? I am trying to line it up with the cottages and the aqueduct bridge. Around 1800 foot?

Lakes Express ecs left carlisle early but has lost nearly 40 mins between there and Milnthorpe so far, dunno if this is due to the train or congestion on the wcml.

Got delayed by a late running Avanti that then meant the on time TPE and following Avanti caught up

Just what they need on what was already a pretty busy/tricky day in terms of paths etc. I understand the reverse at Askam was already pretty tight working around existing timetabled services in both directions.

Edit: made up some time by a very quick turnaround at Lancaster, but seems to have vanished into some manner of RTT black hole since then. Plus assume they are going to have to water her somewhere?

Looks like they watered her at Lancaster. Just left 53 late.

Running some 45 minutes late off Barrow LNER A2 Class No. 60532 'Blue Peter' puts on a fine show heading day 4 of the 'Lakes Express' 1Z32 through Furness Abbey to Chester and onwards to London Victoria
