Footage of 60532 speeding north past Acton Bridge on Tuesday then racing along the coast at Cark in the rain this morning. I had planned a 3rd shot at Farington Curve Junction but a 6 mile tailback on the M6 soon put paid to that...

A2 60532 Blue Peter crosses Arnside Viaduct with the Steam Dreams leg from Barrow to Carlisle on a morning of strong winds and squally showers

Steam haulage for the Lakes Express almost over at the well used location at Sutton Weaver.
The train had only recovered about 12 minutes of the late departure, at least I found the sun today or did it find me through a lucky gap in the cloud ?. Still little trace of exhaust though.

And more idle musing; Like the B1 I don't recall 60532 coming this way before in preservation, unless anyone knows different ?.

60532 Blue Peter seen at Beckfoot with the stock move then with the late running charter after the weather had taken a turn for the worse and a strong wind picked up from Arnside Knott.

Good to meet you again at the Knott, Nige. Here's one of my shots, with the diesel removed in PS.

Likewise Richard, it was nice to chat with you yesterday, a great vantage point with a lovely shot there and well worth the trek up the Knott.

My pics while riding on the lakes express of restored A2 60532 at Crewe in the loop at Carlisle plat 3 and Chester plat 1 I went on this to help sponsor The A2 on one of its 1st tours cos of it been Built at Doncaster wks and cos apart from not seeing 60008 Dwight Eisonhower 60022 60010 Dominion of Canada and 60022 Mallard never steamed I've rode behind all the working L.N.E.R. Pacifics.
And had a educational day at the ravensglass eskdale railway learning about ironstone mining with reading the Book Dynasty of the Darbys about it iron smelting and also learning about lead mining and copper mining in Cumbria. And visiting the Blackwell arts crafts museum on day 2 learning about Edward and Joseph Holt who owned and built the house.
I hope as well everyone else aboard the lakes express had a enjoyable 4 days in cumbria and riding behind the A2.

She really does look the absolute mutts nuts in blue, and with the blood and custard rake as well. I still think there’s something a bit odd about the cab side number typeface but I’ve not compared with originals to see if they’re different.
