LSL - The Chairman's train: 16/04/25 on, plus 10/10/25

I think it's referring to 71000 hauling Jeremy Hosking's private train, which is known as The Chairman's Train. He used it last year for 60532's first outing last year and earlier this year just after 5029 returned to steam.

 

Ah see thanks - any news on whether this will also be a circular Crewe to Crewe or is the path yet to be uploaded?

 

A post on the BR Standard Class 8 Locomotive Trust's Facebook says it's running to Carlisle, but they will post details of the route and timings when available.

That is the big question that nobody knows. And I’ve asked 5 people at LSL who all say the times are not yet out.

 

Should be steam Crewe to Carlisle and then 71000 LE back to Crewe. ‘Chairman’s Train’ will continue north.

 

I'm hearing 13.20 off Crewe, still not 100% certain on the route.
