I am not a fan of faces on locomotives, or contemporary Halloween celebrations, but if they must be done, this is the way to do it!

I agree regarding faces but I felt this was a very impressive piece of artwork when I saw it on the shed on Friday.
Seemed a difficult afternoon operationally as when I popped up to my Dad's to change his clocks (following a call from him complaining it was 14:10 and his carer had not arrived, due at 13:00) I hung around to watch the T3 depart as it was taking water on shed. It appeared the valve jammed or failed and the loco department were gaining a swimming pool in the inspection pit ;) when I walked back home.
T3 looks even better with some exhaust.

    Like this you mean?

(Not my photo. Not really my thing either TBH, but a week of trains sold out in financially straitened times ...)

According to https://www.facebook.com/swanagerailway this morning -
The first standard service leaves Swanage Station at 10:00 and will call at all stations along the line throughout the day. If you are travelling on our Ghost Trains then please note these start and end at Norden Station only!
If you are visiting us this week then you can expect to see 34070 “Manston” on our Ghost Trains and U Class 31806 on our passenger service.

Haven't a clue why 563 isn't continuing Ghost Train duties.

Yes I was surprised to see Manston take the ECS out around 11:50. From what I could see of it leaving Swanage T/F about an hour ago it carries the skull on the front.

Maybe not quite a good fit as on the T3, but not too bad.

I’m wondering what the big jet of steam is under the cab. Wrong side for the injectors - does anyone know?

Is it not the blow down valve?
I am sure someone from the loco dept will be along soon to enlighten us.
