That case is debatable, and views will legitimately differ. Where there is a line is over the publication of internal documents like ops logs to public sites - something that is both a breach of basic confidentiality, and can get people into trouble for publishing them.

    Agreed.
Presumably those who wish to just post it all will underwrite the risk of doing so?

For info: Locomotive Services Group have just made a statament via social media (Facebook) indicating that as well as there being no injuries, that the loco is also not damaged.

The full text of the statement is:

"On the 6th December 2025 at 20.40 during shunting operations within Hanwell Loop, 5Z54
consisting of Steam Locomotive 71000 & Support coach came into contact with the buffer
    stop at Hanwell East Spur.
This was a very slow speed move, and no passengers were involved in the incident.
There was no damage to the locomotive and no staff were hurt.
LSL TOC are carrying out a full investigation involving the relevant parties."

Now that LSL has made a public statement we are happy to allow #363 and #364 to remain. Be aware that a few sources out there suggested that the locomotive derailed. This was untrue and illustrates the social media world of 'I claim the prize for being the first to post and comment' issue. There is no place for that on here or the views of just one or two members expressing indignation at being silenced.

Be interesting to see how they extract her as whilst she thankfully stayed on the rails the rails parted at broken fishplates beneath her meaning that I assume some sort of track repair work will be needed to get her back on the (same piece) of road.

I suppose we should just thank the lord that this unfortunate incident didn't happen on a WCR movement, we would have been up to about 20 pages by now if that were the case with the axe grinders in chief no doubt leading the charge!
