    Back in the day it would be ‘just one of those things. ‘. Rough shunts were an everyday occurrence. A quick look around by a fitter if thought necessary and if the buffer beam wasn’t bent it would be back in service.
    Times change, though.

    It is not illegal to fly over Network rail boundary, it is to take off and land within. Its requested by NR that a 50m boundary be observed by drones.
    However all the other conditions of your drone license are in force, and you will be prosecuted (several have) by flying too close to trains/infrastructure.

    Reviewed the drone shots of the incident, and flying wise it seems to conform with the terms of the license* and maintains good separation. Close up shots appear to be digital zooms. *Take off and landing? dunno. there are precious few places round there to do it.
