    I went over to York on Sunday to see 60103 Flying Scotsman with the ill feted Festive Flying Scotsman organised by UKRailtours

    60103 reverses from the NRM onto the stock in P11

    This seems to be where the problems started, as you can see between the support coach and the first Mk3 coach someone try to rectify what has happened

    Now about a hour late 60103 had still not departed, when LNER staff came and told us that a rought shunt had occured and that it needed inspection by Network Rail, true or false? i dont know, time will tell i imagine.
    I decided to go to the overbridge to the NRM for some photos

    Then onto the path beside the line to the NRM with its 6 foot high fence!! thank goodness for the movable viewscreen on my camera, held above my head for these photos

    After this i decided to get the train back home as at the time no-one had a idea what was going to happen
    I found out on the treain home that it left 2 1/4 hours late with the 67 on the rear to Newcastle, where 60103 came off and the return was diesel hauled throughout.
