NRM York. Nanny State gone mad!!! Yorkshire Air & Rail museums

    On Friday last week 20th February i went on a Yorkshire Rose coach trip to the Yorkshire Air Museum and then to York, as there was 3 hours to spend in York i got the Road Train to the NRM as i havent been since the station hall reopened, and what a let down, its even darker than it was originally and the Health and safety nannies have been putting the oar in!!!

    Yeah I went to NRM a couple of weeks back. Myself and my mate were shocked when we went into station hall to see what they had done to 2 of the locos there. What's weird is it weren't in place last September when the hall reopened. Disappointing, especially as it looked to be duct taped to the paintwork, hope that doesn't cause any damage.

    You're always quick to lay into the NRM without finding out the reasons why things are as they are. This only looks temporary to me, possibly something to do with asbestos as I've seen that approach elsewhere before.
