    Great photos!

The Stanier mogul is a stunning machine- saw it at the SVR last year, the paintwork is a work of art in itself.

Thanks, as a member of the fund I thought I better see it for the first time since its overhaul.

For those in the region the whole BBC North West Tonight programme comes live from Bury Bolton Street station on Friday 19 December at 6.30pm - 7.00pm. For those not in the region presume you can get it on a catch up/red button of some description.

Classes 24, 42,47,50 and dmu's in use. The class 40 croaked it whilst awaiting attachment and was shed back not to reappeared as muted. The day started quite bright, first shower at lunch time, got full grey from mid afternoon and ended in the wet stuff. Excellent day for paraffin can bashers, enjoyed it as usual, good day out supporting our railway with a railrover. Few shots around the stations as a result.
PS - what's up with the website? Really sluggish.

I live in hope that one day I'll see the Co-Bo run under its own power.

Being a european loco will that fit the loading gauge being as nene valley are the only line to cut their platforms back to accommodate bigger locos.

It'd be brilliant if it is for the elr.

I believe this B class used to run on the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway back in the '80s. Whether they could still accomodate a Berne-gauge loco, with more recent additions to their infrastructure, I don't know.

Anyway, it's a very handsome loco (in my opinion) and I hope this move will signal a brighter future for it.

Where is the road access for the ELR? That would answer at least one question.

Overall the main structure is about 6" wider than a Hall. However the drawings don't show the width over the handrails which also stick out. The B class is about 14' 2" as well. Any low bridges on the ELR?
