Sorry, I can only do facts. Explanations are outside of my pay grade. For those I would recommend direct contact with the SR.

Or another visit by 70000 but this time renumbered and renamed as 70022, as LSL did back in 2020. Guess they would still have the nameplates.

    Ouch ouch ouch

So it seems like £3 single/ £6 return for Nordon to bluepool
    .

    From the SW website:
"Short Hop tickets – valid for travel from Harmans Cross to Swanage/Corfe Castle or Norden or the reverse. For a return short hop, please buy two single tickets."

So that states its £7 single from Nordon to Corfe. £14 return.
Surly that cant be correct. £14 for 4 mins. That is a compleate rip off.

People with families will be turning away at that huge jump. £44 for two adults and children just for that. You might aswell just pay £5 to park and watch the trains

The way I read that is £7 single for any one of the following: Norden - Harmans Cross (or vv), Corfe - Harmans Cross (or vv) (i.e on the short hop rate, the journey between Norden and Corfe appears to be functionally free) and Swanage - Harmans Cross (or vv), and that £14 return fare for the half line trip seems to be in the same ball park rate as the £27.50 for the full line. There doesn't seem to be a ticket option for the journey from Norden to Corfe or vv specifically, so if that is all you wanted to do, yes it would end up being £14 return, but you would be depriving yourself of pretty much the entire product that you had purchased.

It appears the North Yorkshire confusion (disease?) is drifting southwards, especially as the Blue timetable on the station posters is at divergence from that on the website.

As mentioned by @buzby2 on a different thread Eddystone was out with its support coach today.
I had seen some steam at lunchtime but forgot about it and having to drop my wife off in the town thought I would pop out to Norden having seen 33053 go out earlier. Missed everything but noticed Eddystone on the Corfe cam and as I had to visit my Dad took the chance to grab this image of it returning (and totally missing that the Grange in the sidings until loading this image).
Not been great the past 10 days or so, last time I went out of Swanage (March 10) petrol was still available at £1.33, today £1.53, how things change. DSC_0059r.JPG

But a long drive from Swanage! Not much point spending £15 on fuel to drive to place where you can fill your tank for £5 less ...
