And, referring back to the Blackburn Rovers example, it is absolutely not a guarantee of future commitment to meet bills.

"I think"...that sums it up ...we know nothing of WCR...a private company...all speculation. So the Thunderbird is profitable...how do we know ? We simply don't know..."the other revenue streams are far more lucrative"....you have the figures ?

Whoop, a good old fashioned appendage waving contest for us all to enjoy...

FWIW, WCR's most recent company accounts are fully available to view on the CH website (as are those for all the other companies in the wider WCR ownership/structure), they show a company turning a profit, now if you know otherwise I'm sure the authorities would be delighted to hear from you,,,

    You're trolling now.
You said "The object of any business is to make a profit...."
I replied that nobody buys steam locos for mainline use expecting to make a profit.
Other people have pointed out the various other streams of WC work which reputedly make profit, as GWR4707 said, the accounts show a healthy state.
My contention is that adding all that together is indicative of various parts of the business all contribute to an overall profit. But that in isolation the steam loco collecting etc isn't a profit seeking venture as motivation.
My challenge to you was do you believe the purpose of buying and restoring a large collection of steam locos is to make a profit? If you do, there remains a bridge for sale.

Which rather puts all the woe is me rabble rousing about fitting CDL and the cost into perspective.

There is another potential angle even if West Coast don't have any element direct control over RTC - would West Coast refuse to operate any of RTCs trains if RTC tried to run some with another supplier. They may well be very happy to continue working with West Coast but they also may effectively blocked from diversifying by the possibility of losing the use of their main supplier if they do.

You're being wilfully obtuse as well you know. Still evading the direct question posed to you.
