Looks like the makings of an interesting event. Slightly confusing that the write up says the event "celebrates unique members of the home fleet" however 13268, which is certainly unique, isn't included.

It doesn’t make much sense when 1450, 77-4, D9551 & 20048 are all not unique with other members of each class in preservation and in the case of 7714 isn’t even unique on the railway. Luckily the actual gala page rather than the booking page makes more sense on that front.

My understanding is that it is intended to be more a 'small engines' style gala, which ties in with what's advertised to be running and has been announced so far.

Yes it is, as I said the main page makes more sense than the text on the booking page and says that.

Both pages appear to have been updated to refer to small locomotives now, not unique ones, so fair enough!

Personally I think we shoud have called this gala “It’s not all about the size you know”….But apparently that’s not very appropriate :D

Yep its the way you use it and looking at the roster there are certainly some novel ways of doing that with the locos.

It would be nice to see Didcot's GWR Railcard back on the Valley sometime soon...

Will it lower the cost of tickets and is there an age restriction?

Gala line up altered - Class 07 D2996 shown as potentially running at the gala barring any unforeseen issues, 20048 now no longer listed and now a further two guests TBA rather than three.

Does it get a discount if it travels with a partner?

Hopefully, the disrespectful thugs who spoilt the diesel gala will stay away.

The attached image artwork has appeared in the digital version of Railway Magazine that came out today... I suspect it's not long before Holly Bank No. 3 is officially confirmed in this case. A nice illustration - matches some other recent SVR art, so hoping it's not an AI piece.
