Little theatrics from 34028 at Hasland this afternoon; understandable given the conditions, but still nice to see her on the mainline for the first time nonetheless!

 

How far out of Lidlington had you gone for that?

 

Second foot crossing after the station, the one behind where you got your shots, on camera i can see the crossing infront of me, parking near the corner of Sheeptick End

 

I know the one. Looked at that yesterday but decided on the sports ground in the end.

 

Yes, and some minor fires reported on the Spa Valley Railway today.

I was at Lidlington, where was that relative to the station?

 

The sports ground just to the west of the station. Come down the hill, over the level crossing and take the first road on the left.

 

Is the carriage body still there opposite the school entrance?

Eddystone seen taking on rare track as she heads over the Marston Vale line, and then even more rarely going over the Chiltern mainline passed Wembley stadium, which was literally up following the FA cup semi-final between Southampton and Manchester City:

Didn’t notice it, but then again, I didn’t get a chance to look over the fence into the area that now seems to have chalets and vans in it.

45407 approaches Montrose on Day 6, 23rd April. I chose this location for the composition, and was not expecting the loco to be working on the downhill gradient, but it was a very welcome bonus!
