7802 in use tomorrow instead of 1450 and 813 as 813 has failed requiring brick arch repairs.

    A good feedback

On the matter of labelling locomotives and carriage diagrams, it is not friendly to the average punter as the codification of workings, is only useful to those in 'the know'. It needs to be shown in Plain English

WCC website is now saying 20th as an end date looking like they will affect the gala. I walk past them this morning about 8.30 and with school traffic the queue was quite bad (plus a smashup due to someone pulling out not having a good view).

Just a heads up. The 4 way lights at the 448/ 449 junction. Top of Comberton hill have been removed.

Had a very enjoyable visit to the SVR today, was great to travel behind 4930 'Hagley Hall' for the first time since completion of its overhaul (and in matching GWR stock, no less). The afternoon brake van trip behind the L&YR Pug was a positively thrilling first-time experience too - especially the stretch up to and through Foley Park Tunnel! Today was also the first time I'd properly visited Bewdley Station, a lovely atmospheric place I found it to be.

Here's a small selection of photos taken during today's travels.

Lastly, my shot of 11243 steaming past Orchard Crossing with today's last 'brake van special'.

Latest railway to be involved in the fantasy of running service trains along a heritage line.

Send the bill for the upgrade to SLUG. They will soon run away.

Never mind the upgrade, the bill for manning the signalboxes will blow it out of the water.

Yes, indeed. These groups think up ideas without appreciating the cost involved.

FFS, there’s reasons why people use Kidderminster, rather than Bewdley.

I maybe wrong, but I doubt there are many days when Kidderminster signal box isn't manned. Bewdley maybe another matter.

Quite often on non-running days, ie days for shunting, etc it is only signed by somebody who signs it as a ground frame, and not and full box. So it will be more days than you think to which it is not manned

Sounds like a marvellous idea, given potential revenue. Though timetabling vis a vis normal running day and galas would be challenging.

It wouldn’t be able to happen on a gala, or a gala wouldn’t be able to happen basically

The Kidderminster platform extension has been completed. See the view of it using the SVR Railcam. It looks really good. <BJ>

There's also a big difference between getting someone to pop in for a few hours in the middle of the day to having someone turn up every morning or evening throughout the year.
